Dyeing eggs!

I laugh out loud at this picture….I want to always remember how she is at this age….cap, rubber boots, skirt & gun….and i can’t forget ATTITUDE! We were all going on a hike and she thought her brothers were going to get ahead if she stopped for me to snap a picture…haha! And notice the skirt…she is okay wearing them right now, she refuses to wear her shorts because she says to much of her legs show….LOL. Oh that girl, I love her so!

Okay, remember the bow ties I made Friday night….yesterday was the County FFA & 4H project show. Those showing chickens start out with 15 chicks and 6 weeks later their FFA teacher comes to the house and chooses 4 of their 15 to show. If you make the sale you stand in the middle of the arena holding one of your chickens to be auctioned off. Everyone went out holding their “undressed” chicken…everyone but Elliott. Elliott’s chicken was dressed in style! He had been telling me for weeks if he made the sale he wanted his chicken to wear a bow tie….and so it did! That boy of mine! :-)

This was so precious I’m so glad I got a picture of it. Paul asked Vivi if she wanted to wear the pearls that we bought her when we were in China to bring her home. He told her that we bought the pearls to give her when she gets married but since tonight was so special she could also wear them tonight. She was beaming with pride wearing those pearls around her neck. But you should have seen the disgusted look on her face when he told her that we bought them for her to wear when she gets married….lol…it was priceless!

This evening was our church’s 1st father/daughter banquet. Vivi and Paul have literally been counting down the days. She was so excited that she HAPPILY let me put hot rollers in her hair. They also made plans to go to Dairy Queen afterwards for ice cream. I can’t wait for them to get home so I can hear all about their evening. Oh and notice her new shoes for the special occasion….Viv chose them and I love her choice :-)..lace and ruffle skirt with chucks….although tonight was a special and dressy event, Vivi put a little Vivi in her dressy outfit. I love that she is comfortable with what she likes even if its not the norm. I love that girl!
