it rained....it actually RAINED!  when tate saw it was raining outside he said, mom it's raining...lets go outside and play basketball in the rain.  he didn't ask his brother, he ask ME! so i went shootin' hoops with my boy.

 ells wasn't so much for getting rained on but when the rain let up he came out to play in the puddles.

 meanwhile max and vivi jo were inside playing wii.

BUSTED!

 max: mom, do americans eat these frozen (tater tots).

mom: well, i sure don't.

max: well, they do in my china (hahaha...as i'm sure you are aware...they don't even have tater tots in china).

LOL...if they do it in his china then he thinks he should get to do it.

that boy loves everything frozen, he would rather eat his foods frozen than cooked.  some of his favorites include: corn, peas, veggie corn dogs (GAG), now i can add tater tots, and his all time favorite...waffles.  i'm sure there would be many more foods on the list if i'd let him.  he's a funny kid!

water day!

we have got the BEST library in our little town.  they have the most amazing reading program and a summer full of activities.  on the last day of the reading program, those who participated got to enjoy WATER DAY!  i'll tell ya, max and viv were counting down the days.  they had so much fun!!! 

 viv and her bff andrew...actually he is more like another brother.  it looks like she's got him in a choke hold...LOL  when we brought vivi home she and andrew were the same height, i can't get over how she has grown and grown....and check out those big feet....i can't keep her in shoes.  she is perfect, i wouldn't want her any other way!  WNBA meet Vivi Jo Lester :-).

i'm a blessed mama, yes i am!

hayden preached this morning at church and was licensed to the ministry. i am so proud of him and so blessed to be his mama!

he has the best friends.  these four precious girls came from dallas to see him.  aren't they beautiful!....they are as sweet as they are beautiful!  they are from left to right: bailey, lauren, hayden, monica and lishan. here is something i thought was so cool....i knew that lishan was from guangdong the same province as vivi but while we were talking we discovered that they are not only were they from the same province but also from the SAME CITY!  how AWESOME is that!

girls, when we are in our new house you are coming for the weekend...we will have so much fun!  thank you so much for coming....it meant so much to hayden that you came.  YOU'RE THE BEST!  LOVE YOU ALL!

homemade bubbles

 when everyone else had had enough...viv kept on playing....and playing....and playing. 

she kept getting bubbles on her glasses so she took them off....i didn't realize how much older she looks without them until i posted the pictures.  she will be a teenager before i turn around.....they grow up way too fast!

here is the bubble recipe that i use:

1 cup (non) ultra joy dish soap
10 cups water

that's it, easy breezy!


it has to be NON ultra, the only place i found it was at dollar general around here, our w@lm@rt didn't have it.



we had fun finding things around the house that you could use that would make good bubbles.  this bubble recipe is so good that you can even use your hands. :-)
