a conversation between elliott and myself this afternoon....
i can't post without a picture so here is a picture of last weekend at the farm...a post on our outing at the farm coming soon.

elliott - mom, you are weird today.
me - (with my hands on my hips) WHAT??? me weird??? WHY do you say that?
elliott - i feel you are a little weird today.
me - what's weird about me?
elliott - i don't know, i just feel you are weird.
me - what is it? my face? my feet? what???...hehehe
elliott - mom, weird does not mean something bad.
me - is it my hair (my hair is STILL in low pig tails from my workout this morning)?
elliott - yes, mom...that's what it is...it's your hair.
me - well, do you like it....do you like my hair?
elliott - yes, it makes you look really young!
LOL...these kids keep me in stitches.
here is what i got out of our little conversation: I'LL TAKE WEIRD ANY DAY....I ABSOLUTELY ADORE WEIRD....WEIRD IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND!!!!!

WE ARE MOVED!!!!.......
FINALLY....but only to a temporary house....this our second temporary home since we sold our house back in june. the 1st one, as most of you know was ooouuut...OUT...did you get that OUT at the lake, lets just call that our summer home...HA! we did enjoy it this summer but once school started that story changed....we are way to involved in too many things to be that far out. i met myself coming and going and we had NO family time and i like my family time! most of our time was spent on the road...rushing! i knew quickly that it was not going to work...well, the sweet Lord blessed us with our 2nd temporary home.....it's within walking distance of the school! my friend is a realtor and she told me that she had a small house at a great price...we looked at it and i instantly fell in love with it's potential. we bought it and painted the entire house (ceilings, walls, cabinets...everything), put in new floors, new window treatments, etc. i'm going to redo the kitchen counters myself (i'll be sure and post the before and after) and hopefully have that handy man son of mine, mark put in a new subway tile back splash for me....i have other projects underway, i'll be sure and share when i get them finished. i LOVE this little house, it is sweet and so cozy, the best part is that it payment is less than half what we were paying for rent at the lake...WOOHOO. once our house is built we will use this one as rental property. i have decided although this house is temporary, i'm going to make it home and fix it up like i would if it were permanent. the house we are going to build is not even started yet....paul and i drew up the plans ourselves and gave them to the builder and we are having to make changes. while living at the lake i felt so much pressure to get the house started quickly but now there is no stress and no pressure....i'm taking my sweet little time where i can focus on all those tiny details.
***
ANYWAY, here is something funny i wanted to journal....while we were living at the lake getting to school was a rush a lot of the time....once we got in the car it was good because we could use that time to pray, talk, sing, laugh, dance...yes, we (okay...i) have been known to even dance...especially at stop lights, and just wake up...the time together was enjoyable (most mornings)....one morning, we were running late, i forgot my phone, ran inside grabbed my phone, went to open the car and my keys were not in my purse....WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE MY KEYS???? i am running all over the house looking for my keys...i finally find them. as we were driving down the road, tate turns on the radio....the below video is the song that came on and that morning was the fist time we had ever heard it.....here are the first two sentences in the song..i lost my keys in the great unknown, and call me please 'cuz i can't find my phone. we all looked at each other and died out laughing....LOL...God took that stressful morning and made it one of the best, most fun mornings ever!...and still to this day and it happens nearly everyday...LOL, all the kids....even viv and max....when i am digging through my purse looking for my keys....they start singing....i lost my keys...LOL...i have 4 comedians living in my house...LOL.
*****.
here are the lyrics to the song:
I lost my keys in the great unknown
And call me please 'Cuz I can't find my phone
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff that's getting to me lately
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I'm blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
But I gotta trust You know exactly what You're doing
It might not be what I would choose
But this is the stuff You use
45 in a 35
Sirens and fines while I'm running behind
Whoa
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff that's getting to me lately
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I'm blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
But I gotta trust You know exactly what You're doing
It might not be what I would choose
But this is the stuff You use
So break me of impatience
Conquer my frustrations
I've got a new appreciation
It's not the end of the world
Oh Oh Oh
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff
Someone save me
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I'm blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
And I've gotta trust You know exactly what You're doing
It might not be what I would choose
But this is the stuff You use
Oh Oh Oh Oh
This is the stuff You use

one year home!
Last night Elliott ask me to share on my facebook what yesterday was and why it was so special but we are in the middle of a move and our computers are still at the lake house so I am posting it this morning, so if you have already read this on facebook i apologize but this is something so precious and dear to me that i wanted to journal it.....Yesterday, Tate and Elliott have been home for 1 year!!! We enjoyed talking about their favorite things about their first year. They both said it was a great year! YAY!! and thank you Jesus that they both feel this year has been great.
**
so here is the heart melting part....last night before going to bed, this was mine and Elliott's conversation...Elliott - Mom, do you know what every one calls me and Tate? Me- what, Tate and Elliott...hehehe? Elliott - ha ha, no mom....they call us the Lester boys. Me - awww they do? Elliott - yep, and that's a GOOD NAME!
**
Oh how I LOVE these boys....I love every ounce of their being!!! I can't imagine our lives without them. Thank you God for blessing us above and beyond what our minds could even conceive.
**
Happy 1 year home to our precious precious boys!!!!
