Hurry Dad...I've got work to do!

I've got MY "measure" ready for the job ahead (it is called a measure...not tape measure).

enjoying my #2

Mark is off from work this week and came home for a friends wedding. He was my date to the wedding while Max and Daddy had a fun night together. I have to say I had the best looking date there!

A very proud mama!

Dinner anyone??

Beans and rice are on the menu and Max is the cook.
This is a great way for me to get the kitchen clean. He cooks while I clean.

Homemade Popsicles

More popsicle PLEASE.
*
100% white grape peach juice and a little water and you have it...a YUMMY, NO sugar popsicle. Paul and I went to the grocery store and we were looking for a cool snack for Max...there was NOTHING that was 100% juice with no sugar. So my precious husband said that he would just make them...Max LOVED them!!!...and so did I!!!

marker fest

Max got a little marker happy. He started out coloring on a really big piece of paper, then he decided he would color Curious George, the TV and the sofa. No harm done they are washable....THANK GOODNESS!!! I knew he was a little explorer but I didn't realize we are living with an up and coming artist :-)

DTC ~ Dossier to China

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more

After months of paperwork galore, pouring your heart out on paper, filling out questionnaires, physical exams, police clearances, more adoption education classes, books, test, seminars, webinars, home study visit, gathering documents, notarizing documents, immigration approval, driving to Austin the have our dossier authenticated then waiting for the Chinese Consulate to authenticate the previous authentications, and this doesn't even cover it all.....Our dossier is finally on it's way to China....Okay, now that I have caught my breath.....WOOOHOOO!!!!!!! Next we will be given a LID (Logged in Date), which means the official wait begins. Then we will be waiting for our LOA (Letter of Acceptance), I would say the average wait for that right now is about 90 days. After that, we will be anxiously waiting our TA (Travel Approval), which will probably come around 30 days after our LOA, within a few days after getting our TA, we will be given a CA (Consulate Appointment) and travel dates, and probably will travel within 2 weeks of our TA. With Max we traveled 3 days after our TA but that is not typical....but when have we ever been typical :-). So we have a wait ahead of us but it will go fast. We have a ton to do before we travel....like make a room for our precious Lulu....I don't mean just decorate, but I mean "make" as in build...were talking construction, and I want to paint my kitchen cabinets...I wanted to do this before we traveled to get Max but time got away from me. I know if I don't do it before we travel this time then they probably won't get painted until Max and Lulu are both in college. I have recruited help...a thank you goes out to my friend Tami and her daughter Bonnie, they are going to help me paint them...while Max and Dada have a fun day together....anyone else that wants to come to my paint party give me a call...if you don't know my number it is in the book...I promise we will have fun....Anyway we will have MUCH to keep us busy from now until travel time. Please keep us in your prayers that all goes smoothly on both China's end and our end. I'll for sure keep you posted on any news we get.
