Max and Bodie

Bodie....isn't he precious!

Max and Bodie have the same bedding.

They had to check out every room....even the bathroom.

They actually hugged each other bye but I didn't have my camera out.

This is one precious family.

A few weekends ago we went to see Bodie, one of Max's orphanage brothers. There are three boys that have been adopted from the same orphanage and one that is waiting for his mama and daddy to come get him soon. All four boys came through Dillon International (our agency) and were all together in the same group of waiting children. I hope and plan to keep these friendships strong. Two live in Oklahoma, one in Virginia and then the fourth is Max. They will see each other at China camp every summer but I hope that we can get these boys together a few times a year. I show Max their picture regularly and he knows them, he grins and calls them by their Chinese name.

When we first arrived in Tulsa we met up with Bodie and his parents, our China rep, her husband and daughter they just adopted from Vietnam and a new friend that I met through email that recently adopted her second daughter from China, her husband and their older daughter. We all squeezed into one booth at PF Chang's. Lunch was great and we enjoyed each others company. After lunch we were off to Bodie's house to play with Bodie's fun and exciting toys. I have to say I had a wonderful time and I think that Bodie has the sweetest mama and daddy ever. It was such a relaxing day, we visited while the boys played. I just love them and can't wait to get together with them again soon.
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Maeo...Maeo...Maeo

I am so big...I have my Brookshires ad tucked safely under my arm.

Look Mom we got a bunch of maeo today.

This is my favorite part....

we hit the jackpot!!

Humm...I think this may need your attention daddy.

Hello in there....where are you?

Oh well....maybe next time.

Maeo maeo maeo (mail, mail, mail) is echoed in our home EVERY time daddy walks in the door. It doesn't matter if it is morning , noon or night(with a flash light), Max wants to check the mail with daddy, it also doesn't matter if they have already gotten the mail for the day, they even check it on Sundays and holidays as well. It is so cute how he tucks the mail under his arm. I think this may be Max's favorite time of the day. After they come inside then the sorting begins, daddy hands Max the junk mail to throw in the trash one piece at a time so the fun will last longer, and then he brings my mail to me. He has the biggest grin on his face and is so proud of himself for being such a big helper.

You know the holidays are in full swing when the trees are up and the Christmas pajamas are on. I was informed by my friend Amy that I must wait and give Max his Christmas pajamas on Christmas eve, so he can sleep in them that night and then all of the pictures Christmas morning he would be in his cute Christmas pajamas......Sorry Amy, I just couldn't wait. I tried but I just couldn't wait a whole month to see this striped cuteness running around. I promise he will sleep in them on Christmas eve. There is NO way I will be tired of them by then.

Merry Christmas everyone.

My First Corn on the Cob

Max loved the corn but did NOT like the corn stuck in his teeth. I thought these pictures were too cute so I had to share.

My Big Brother, Mark

A few weekends ago Max met Mark, his oldest big brother for the first time. Mark is going to school at Texas Tech in Lubbock and he was going to Dallas for the weekend so we decided we would meet him there so he could meet Max (okay...Mark told us we were going to meet him in Dallas). Max fell in love with him and as you can see in the photos Mark is totally crazy about him as well. We met in Frisco and went to the mall where they had a carousel, this is the first time for Max to ride the horsey, he loved it and every time he came around to us he would wave so big and he had the biggest smile on his face. We rode them several times and when we were all through riding for the day he was so good and didn't fuss at all, he is so easy going and laid back. We all had a wonderful day.
