wedding update...flowers...receptions

a little over 3 weeks before the BIG day!

we are working hard getting things ready for a move (not us...britney will be moving to canada), the wedding, 2 receptions, a light reception where cupcakes and homemade pies will be served and a smaller dinner reception that evening for immediate family, the wedding party and britney and michael's very close and personal friends.

the few days before the wedding will be a little crazy around here, thursday before the wedding, we will be moving britney's apartment into a pod to be shipped to her new home. friday, we will be decorating for both receptions, paul and i will bake 25 pies, i'll be frosting 300 cupcakes (no guarantees they will look good but you can bet they will be delicious....they are CINDY cakes for those living in our little town you know what I am talking about...the only reason I will be icing them is because Cindy's son is getting married on the same day....she is so precious to make the cupcakes for us). and i'll be making 10 bridesmaid bouquets and britney's bouquets. so glad she has a BIG wedding party that will be helping with the decorating :-)....i can just hear all the laughter as everyone decorates and get things ready for the big day.

the fabric flowers are made and now i am stringing them....we have A LOT of flowers...somewhere between 450 to 500 flowers.... thanks to some wonderful people that i appreciate so much! haley, one of britney's bridesmaids cut and cut and cut and then cut some more and put fabric together ready to be sewn, amy my neighbor and friend brought her sewing machine over and side by side we sewed flowers and giggled like little girls and also my friend tammy came and we sewed and sewed and sewed....that girl can tear up a sewing machine....she is fast. :-). I APPRECIATE YOU ALL and LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

it's all so bittersweet for me, the sweetness is that Britney be marrying the man of her dreams...an incredible man that loves God and that absolutely adores her and she will get to spend the rest of her life with her best friend, the man that she absolutely adores. the bitter part is that she and michael will be so far away from me....is hasn't completely sunk in yet and it probably will not until after the wedding.....let's hope it's not in the middle of the wedding.

i don't have much time to journal all the things that are going on right now....i hate that i am not journaling all those little everyday memories that you think you will never forget but do. soon i can start back up and hopefully catch up.

one more thing.....i got so many emails about wanting the password to our travel website. i was able to respond to some but not all. if you sent me an email i will send you the password as soon as i have the website complete. if there were only more hours in a day...and night...LOL.

LOA times 2!!!!

I found out on Tuesday that our LOA's came in on Monday BUT BaoBao's last name was wrong so our WONDERFUL China coordinator, Heidi (love her!!!) had to send it back to the CCAA for correction. The offices were closed due to the Dragon Boat Festival, they opened back up for business last night (their Thursday) WELL, IT'S ALREADY BACK....WACAP's contact guy contacted the CCAA last night and they made the correction to BaoBao's LOA and faxed it back to WACAP....Heidi emailed it to us this morning, we signed it, scanned it and emailed it back to her. Right now, it is on it's way along with our I-800 paperwork to the USCIS. WOOO HOOO! They will send us the original to sign when it gets to them in a few days, then we will sign it and send it back to WACAP....I suppose that will be another post :-). Another step closer to our boys!!! YAY!!!

I love how Viv is helping me hold it....she is so proud!

Wishing now I had fixed my hair this morning....HA....That makes me think of what my precious Nanny use to say, "Always wear clean underwear because you never know when you might be in a wreck"...LOL. Who knew this day would call for photos but I am OH SO GLAD IT DID!!!

travel website

UPDATE!!!

we got new pictures of the boys friday and it's so hard for me not to share and show them off. they are ADORABLE!!! heidi, our china coordinator (she is the BEST) contacted me telling me that they were going to ask for updated photos and for me to send her any question about them that we would like to know. we got pictures and the answers to my questions in 2 days!

it said that wenchun was a sporty boy...that he loves ping pong and basketball. his favorite subjects in school are math and chinese. it said that baobao's favorite subject is history and chinese and he enjoys reading, art and ping pong. from their referral is shows they have a lot in common...they both like art, basketball and ping pong . te update says both boys are 5'4", i think that is fairly tall for 12 yrs. old. THEY ARE PERFECT......ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!

here is their schedule:

6:00 to 6:30 Gets up and personal hygiene, clean the room.
7:00-7:30 breakfast.
8:00-12:00 at school
12:00-2:30 lunch and napping (do you think 12 yr olds really nap?)
3:00-5:30 at school.
6:00-7:00 supper.
7:00-9:00 home works or study
9:00-9:30 personal hygiene, then go to bed.

we are all looking forward to our new life with our boys!

my littlest angel

every night before bed we have family prayer. we usually just take turns praying but tonight i thought about asking if anyone had anything specific that they wanted to pray for. i said, let's pray for mr. darrel and mrs. melinda (our friends that are leaving for china in the morning), that they will have safe travels. i ask if there was anything else and with a very excited voice, like he was glad he didn't forget, max said, "that our LOA would come!" paul and i both looked at each other and we were both thinking.... did he just say that? little ears...reminds me that they are listening everything we say.....so we must always remember to use my words wisely. he doesn't know exactly what a LOA is but he does know that it is a step closer in bringing his brothers home.....and we are all ready for that!!!!

britney, do you notice anything familiar? this was britney's dress. she wore this dress when she was 8 and 9 years, she was a tiny little thing and now viv is wearing it at age 6, she is very tall and willowy.....both, absolutely PERFECT!

i don't remember what she was so tickled about but this picture captured miss viv to a T....head thrown back and laughing.
