Okay I need to go back a couple of weeks....I was trying to get ready for a 10K run and I realized very quickly that I was biting off more than I could chew. I called Britney and told her that there was NO way I could run 6.3 miles, she let me know that there was a 2 mile run that I could run instead...2 miles sounded MUCH better. Saturday morning promptly at 8am my race began. I loved it, it was exhilarating! It was much easier to run 2 miles when you are running with a group, you push yourself so much harder. There were several hills which made it harder....even when I go to the the gym I NEVER put the treadmill on incline...that is just to much work...lol... I ran probably 85% and briskly walked 15%. It was a beautiful run even though it was cloudy and chilly, it was probably in the upper 50s to lower 60s, we ran on the old brick streets in the middle of the Azalea district. I tried to focus on the beauty around me. I came in about middle of the 2 milers, but I was huffing and puffing big time. It was really a lot of fun and when I crossed that finish line I threw my arms up in the air like I just won the Boston marathon...I am such a GOOF....hehehe...I am so glad Britney talked me in to running....it will not be my last.
